oy..we went yesterday to Montauk Point at the very end of Long Island and it was GORGEOUS! The beach was beautiful, but truth be told the Atlantic Ocean is COLD! I still did stick my toes in the water and it felt great but having spent the entire day out under that glorious sun I now have a lovely BURN! *sigh* it'll darken into a tan soon enough though..what a beautiful day!!

Yesterday was wet and really windy, so much so I nearly got blown into the woods at the back of me.

I go to reach for a kitchen towel under the sink this morning and they are all wet, it turns out the pipe is leaking under the sink and now I have to waste a sick day and wait at home all day for the repairman to come. Just another expense I don't need.

Shit that sucks. I had a leak under my sink ages ago but fortunately I was able to fix it my self but if it had been under the floor boards I would of been fucked.
Sorry to hear you have to take time out. I just hope the plumber can fix it there and then and don't keep you waiting all day to say he has to come back the next day, because that is what they are like over here.

Seems like DFG could have fixed your leak. DFG - do you own a tool belt? I think the "basin wrench" is the most indispensable specialty tool ever made; speaking as someone who's avoided buying many a specialty tool.

No I don't own a tool belt and if I did I'd be too fat for it to fit around my middle, lol.
I do have some tools left over from my last job. I was an engineer and built parts for aircraft engines. At one time my x firm built parts for the space shuttle.
Anyhow I only know how to do basic things.

Lesson 736A (Adapted from Wife Bank lesson 736)
Your girlfriend/wife asks "do you think I'm fat?"
1) No!
2) It's not what your look like on the outside, but the woman on the inside that matters to me.
3) I *LIKE* a woman with alot of meat on her bones! Can we get naked now an play "Explore the Tunnel of Love?"

I'm very sad today because my brother Peter and his wife Betty are going back to Australia. They came over last month and stayed with my sister and her husband. It's gone really quickly.
We all went early today to a very nice country pub and as it is quite hot and I'm off my food I only had a sandwich but they all had a hot meal. Anyway went for a little drive and then my sister dropped me home and well Betty starts to cry and I go all sad too.
Their flight from London Airport is after 9pm tonight and they have to stop over at Singapore for the night and then get another plane back to South Australia.
I'm told UK time Friday midnight will be when they get home but because they are in front it will be about 8.30am Saturday for them. Their sure going be real bad jet lag.
They say they are going try and come back but it will not be for another four years or so:-(
Poor buggers have had awful weather while been here and the last few days and today have been real warm. Well today had been the hottest. Sod's law that is.

That's sad they're going now, but it's good you got a chance to spend some time with them while they were visiting It's been real wet here too, been raining all day, summer is almost at an end.
