Any Trekkies out there besides me
So what's your favorite Trek series?
I love all the series, except for Voyager. I could never get into that show. DS9 is my second favorite. But my #1 is Enterprise! I am a huge ENT fan and an Archer/T'Pol shipper. :888:

Actually I used be a trekker not trekkie.
My favorite series would have to be the Original series.

I am always curious to know why some fans call themselves Trekkers and others Trekkies? Honestly, I don't know why I call myself a trekkie as opposed to a trekker, i just like the way it sounds better I think. IIRC Trekkie was the original term from the 60/70s and Trekker was from the 80s.
DFG is there a particular reason why you consider yourself a trekker and not a trekkie?

I really liked Enterprice, TNG and Voyager, and I watched DSP the first few seasons, then just couldn't get into it anymore, and of course I've seen all of the original in re-runs. I really like the star trek series, but just never was a big enough fan to become a trekkie/trekker. By the way Scott Bakula is what really drew me to the show, then I just really liked the series after watching it.

I once consider myself as a trekker because that's what I and my fellow Trek fans were called and yes it would of been back in the 80's. I attended loads conventions in the UK and good friend of mine used to go to American cons.
It was put about by the press the trekkie thing and I remember once when Patrick Stewart was been interviewed on tv and the interviewer said trekkie and Patrick corrected him and they perfer to be called Trekkers. It matter know more really. I was really joking but you wanted know.
I don't do conventions anymore but I still have some links with other fans who are still into it.
Here's a piccy of one of my many favorite classic trek eppy's City I call it for short

yeah, I agree... me too. long time ST fan... I started watching TOS in the late 70s, continued with all eps of TNG (still my fave series of all) and then watched all DSN and most VOY eps...but I really don't like the latest series. it would be nice to know which one's your favorite series.

Serieswise, I lean slightly more to the Original Series. But I have watched most all of the spinoffs eps, except I only got to see the first season of Enterprise because of switching to satellite from cable and that cut the channel it was on. Much later on I saw a commercial with clips for the DVD set and liked what I saw enough to buy the S4 DVD box of Enterprise, just to get the Season 4 2-part episode called "IN A MIRROR, DARKLY" (My only DVD set of any TREK). That ties all the way back to an episode from the OS, called "The Tholian Web". The Mirror Universe has become my favorite trekkin vacation spot, and the most beautiful mirror creature below would made the ultimate Perfect Captain of the USS DEFIANT (yep -it's the very one that vanished in the OS)! {She has just got to be the most yummy Trek femme ever!}

(Heartbreak that T'Pol only looked like that for just 2 eps!)

I was a trekker for many years and my fav was TNG. But I also like DS9 and later enjoyed watching the new series Enterprise. But my all time favorite would be TNG, because I really like its captain J. L. Picard ;-)

I always loved watching Star Trek as a kid (TOS was all there was at that time) and got into Trekdom around the time I finished school. I went to a few conventions, got to meet Jimmy Doohan and (sort of) William Shatner, and met some people who still are my friends now. My favourite memory is Jimmy D. standing in the yard of the youth hostel in Nuremberg, where one of the cons took place, and passing out cake to the fans. Someone had baked that big tart with the Enterprise on it, it was amazing.
TOS is still my favourite series. Maybe I love Kai because I always loved Spock as a kid. I seem to have a liking for the... errm, feeling-impaired.

YAY!! I couldn't agree more! I am a totally crazy T'Pol fan - she is my favorite Star Trek character ever. And I loved the MU episodes as well, so much fun. Here is a great pic of T'Pol from the MU:

Also, you should check out my Videos I have a few with MU T'Pol in them

I thought the Mirror Darkly was written and based on the TOS eppy Mirror Mirror, ISS Enterprise. Another of my favorites.
Where as Tholian Web eppy, the crew of the Enterprise NCC 1701 finding Defiant in Tholian Space.

You are both correct - The first ep was based more on Mirror Mirror and the second ep was based more on Tholian Web.
I enjoyed ENT's MU eps immensely. Many fans didn't like them because the crews from both universes don't meet. I actually like that quite a bit and thought it was a refreshing idea to have the eps based completely in the MU and have no interactions with the other universe.

I found this amazing music vid today. This video fing rocks! The effects and editing are brilliant. By far the best vid I have ever seen.
It's a Kirk/Spock vid to the song Closer by Nine Inch Nails.
WARNING! - This is a slash vid. And if you don't know the song it's pretty hard core and contains the F word. If this offends you please don't watch the video.
