Anne Rice is s "Bill" fan !! Anne Rice wrote on her blog this week, after the Sunday's True Blood episode, her feelings about Vampire Bill's character, no doubt in response to Stephen Moyer's  outstanding acting performance this season:

Anne Rice writes: “I think I like Bill because he has the moral complexity I want a vampire to have. Eric is too remote and too predictable. Godric was wonderful, and there was the promise of great mystery. Jessica is fascinating; but Bill is the only one who seems to retain a conscience, a deep disgust for what he is, and a capacity to truly love. We have yet to meet a philosophical vampire, am I right?” – August 9 at 11:19pm

It was funny at the end of the King of LA's tirade he says, "And now to the weather, Tiffany."  I knew Franklin would come back for Tara, but who knew it'd be Jason with the balls to save her, Franklin taunted him that bullets wouldn't do anything to him, little did he know that Jason had the gun loaded with wooden bullets.  Buh bye Franklin.

This week's recap !! SPOILERS !!!!

*

*

*

*

*

*

*

*

Wow, what a dynamite episode this week !!! Lots of action and the season is winding down, only a couple more episodes until the season finale, and I hear it's going to be a doozy..!!

Body count this week: 2,  1 Vamp and 1 Werewolf.

Ass kickings: (how could they top last weeks?) 2, both of them were guys from Hotshot, and one off-camera, Kevin the cop gets his bell rung but we don't get to see that one.

Ok, recap:

1. Eric blazes back into Fangtasia ready to bail out of town, and Pam is panicking, just as Nan Flanagan and her bevy of SS stormtroopers show up to investigate the disappearance of the Magister. The vamps have LOTS of money as evidenced by their fabulous SWAT gear, they looked better equipped than the Navy Seals. Eric tries to explain what happened with the King, the Magister and the Queen while Nan does a coast-to-coast hookup with The Authority. She's suspicious of Eric's story and has to allow the Authority to discuss it before she tells him that they would  just as soon sweep it all under the rug if he'll kill the King for them, because he's a threat to the Vampire Rights Amendment that she's been working for months to get passed.

During the time they're 'locked down', Pam asks Eric why he didn't share his previous life information with her, and they bond over their impending doom. There's a very tender scene between Pam and Eric that is very unexpected.  After releasing Eric and Pam, Nan takes off, snuggling between the thighs of a gorgeous naked brunette in the back of her SUV, so much for 'bottled blood only' bullshit.

2. The King has arrived back at the mansion finding Talbot a big pile of goo, which he apparently stuffs into a crystal cigar humidor and carries it around with him. He appears on the roof of Fangtasia as Nan and posse arrive, and it's only their presence that protects Eric from the King's wrath. The King convinces himself that Eric was in fact sent by Flanangan and the Authority to wipe him out so he's decided to declare WAR. He flies off into the night.

3. Sookie and Bill share a lovely shower together, then clean up the dead Were in her living room, and Sookie presses Bill for a reason behind him keeping a dossier on her, of course he lies through his teeth and says it was because he wanted to know why Eric was so interested in her, but we all know it had nothing to do with her 'background'. Ahem.

4. Lafayette and Jesus snuggle and discuss whether or not their interlude was a booty call or something more. They later send Laffys mom back to the clinic with Jesus.

5. Terry calls Sam at home and complains about the wild sex noises coming from Tommy's house next door and asks Sam to intervene so he can get some peace from Arlene's shrieking voice. Sam shows up and finds Tommy and a girl naked, cavorting in his house and demands they quiet it down. Tommy is not happy but agrees.

6. Tara has a breakdown and Sam suggests she seek counseling, but Tara is not going for it, but she shows up at a rape survivors group meeting that Holly, the new waitress, attends and they bond over horror stories.

7. Arlene and Tommy have a fight over the possibility of him stealing her tip money off the table and she has her own meltdown, Holly comes in after her meeting and comforts Arlene, who confesses that her baby is NOT Terry's and she's freaking over the possibiliby that she's spawning a devil child by Renee, her previous serial killer boyfriend. She's afraid of losing Terry, the Irag war vet with PTSD.

8. Jason goes to his house to find Felton, one of the Hotshot meth dealers, in his house screaming at Crystal, who insists that she was kidnapped and raped by Jason, when he walks in. BIG fight, Felton gets knocked out, tied up to a tree in the country while Jason makes a 911 call with an assumed voice. By the time they get to the PD the next day, Felton has escaped after practically killing Kevin, the other cop, and Rosie is devastated. Crystal sees her cousin at the police station and he assumes she's snitching.

9. Bill has a dream during the day that water is leaking into his sleeping space under the closet floor, and upon opening it, he finds himself in the same beautiful garden cemetary that Sookie was in during her dream in the hospital. He encounters Claudine who accuses him of killing Sookie because she can see Sookie's blood in him, he convinces her Sookie is alive, and Claudine demands he leave Sookie alone. Bill almost attacks Claudine due to her 'scent' and is confused as to what she is. Bill demands info on Sookie's nature and Claudine is about to tell him...

10. Jessica sees Hoyt at Merlottes, and his new GF Summer, who is the most annoying bitch on the planet. While she's away from the booth, he admits to Jessica that he still cares for her and hates Summer. Jessica runs away in tears. Tommy sees her crying and assumes Hoyt said something to upset her.

11. Crystal's father, Calvin Norris, comes into Merlottes, and Crystal and Jason are in  a booth, Calvin accuses Sam of knowing where his daughter was and calls Sam a 'pussy', at which point, Sam totally LOSES it. He beats the crap out of Calvin while Tommy looks on in adoration. Jesus and Lafayette take Calvin to the hospital and Crystal dumps Jason, since that was her father.

12. Tara is outside watching when...*gasp*..FRANKLIN appears out of nowhere. He insists he still loves her, and said he didn't beleive it when the other vamps told him Tara had smashed his head in, he tells her he will 'miss' her when she's gone. Tara dares him to kill her, that way she'd be free of him, and just as she's about to get her wish, Jason shows up with a shotgun. He demands Franklin release Tara, and Franklin taunts him, saying the gun is no threat, until Jason  blasts him with wooden bullets and sprays red goo all over Tara. Franklin is dead-dead this time.

13. Nan Flanagan is in her SUV on the way to the airport, watching her plasma screen when the Russell, the King, interrupts the news program by slaughtering the newscaster, while he's in the middle of talking about the Vampire Rights Amendment, and proceeds to terrorize viewers with his vision of Vampire superiority over humans, saying 'We will eat you, and then eat your children', in a snarling menacing voice, then sweetly announces...'And now the weather....Tiffany?"

FREAKING hysterical ending. Other funny line: Flanagan checking Eric's basement, finding it spotless after they'd cleaned up from the Magister being dispatched and her disbelief on his cleanliness...Eric's answer..? "What can I say, I'm a Virgo.."

YOU GO BOY!

Unfortunately NO Alcide this week..*DAMN*...

Things are getting more and more intense and the next episodes are going to blow your minds..!!

I already knew about Franklin and Tara seeing a trailer and I thought she might kill him some how but I'm glad Jason Stackhouse did it.

The scene with Bill and the Fairy woman was good.

Yes it was quite amusing when Russell said and now over to you Tiffany for the weather.

Roll on next week.

*Bouncing up and down*...I"m SOOOO ready for the season finale, they let a few spoilers out this past week on the Trueblood-net site and it looks like it's going to be amazing. Also both Alcide and the King have been signed on for Season FOUR !! YIPEEE !!!! Theo Alexander, who played Talbot is scheduled for some flashbacks. I'm stoked, he was a great addition to the storyline and stole every scene he was in.

I'm glad Alcide is coming back and the King of LA is a riot! Talbot was hysterical as the King's spoiled Husband. Looks like I'll have to order HBO again when season 4 hits.

Season 4 News !!

For those of you that have either read the books or are doing so now, new spoiler released today regarding Season 4 storyline:

AB is bringing in a new female cast member to play Hallow, the witch that cursed Eric Northman in book 4. He's going to add that she's also a Necromancer and using other supe powers as well. *A little nod to Anita Blake maybe?* Anyway, he also said that Eric would be getting amnesia is Season 4, so hopefully it will follow the storyline where Eric and Sookie finally fall in love. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Now on to other news...Rolling Stone has released one of it's most controversial covers to date, featuring the TB main cast....

All I can say is ...O.. M....G.....

Issue is on newstands today....and there's more pics inside as well....

I love this cover very bloody and sexy at the same time.  Thanks for posting it.  I don't think we get that magazine over here, well not in our local shops we don't

Just also seen I smell a rat and can't wait to see the next episode.  I'm sad that Soocie will not end up with Bill.

Who's Anita Black?

Thanks DFG, I also want to mention that congrats are in order for Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin as they were married on Saturday at their home in Malibu with friends and family in attendance, including the TB cast, Alan Ball, Elijah Wood, Anne Hathaway and numerous other stars. The groom jumped in the ocean in glee after the ceremony, (in shorts of course) while Anna looked on in amusement. Anna wore a Marilyn Monroe inspired white haltertop dress, 3/4 length, with heels and the groom wore a black suit. The couple have been hiding the fact that the wedding was this summer, in spite of the many questions about their pending nuptials at the Comic Con event last month. Papparazzi managed to still get some aerial shots of the couple saying their vows under a white tent in the yard of a house on the Malibu beach.

Congratulations to Anna and Stephen and hope they have many happy years to come. Good thing too, 'cause Skarsgard said in a red carpet interview that since he was supposed to steal Sookie away as Eric, he'd probably steal Anna away from Stephen as well. Alex was NOT in attendance. Supposedly in Sweden filming. Ahem....

I will have my recap up as soon as I come down off the high of seeing Eric and Sookie lip-lock, not once, but TWICE this episode...only one of them a dream sequence...FINALLY...damn.

Oh and for some reason Rolling Stone doesn't print their whole article online, but I found a link to the scans of the article complete.

http://www.allstephenmoyer.com/true-blood-rolling-stone-article-the-joy-of-vampire-sex/

Enjoy.

Thanks for that link Maya, I've just read it.

And here's a very long and interesting interview with the actor that plays Russell Edginton, Denis O'Hare, http://www.collider.com/2010/08/12/denis-ohare-interview-true-blood/

Denis O'Hare, (Russell Edginton) is an OUTSTANDING actor, theater trained and incredibly talented. I enjoyed his work in this show tremendously and am so stoked that he'll be coming back for S4.

Also congrats should go to Stephen Moyer, who was nominated for an Emmy this year for his work on True Blood. This will be the third year in a row that the cast was nominated. Anna Paquin won Best Actress year before last.

Good luck, Stephen !!  :redrose:
