None of the above.  You didn't include either of my choices
"Blade:Trinity" or "30 days of Night"

Well I was looking for something of more of a series I suppose. The movie '30 days of night' was good, but pretty much everything up there is either a series, franchise or a more recent movie. We could go back forever and put up 'Nosferatu' and movies like that, but I was putting up stuff that's more contemporary I suppose. The Blade Trinity was pretty good, but it never spawned the devotion that the other films and series did. Plus, we have a limited number of people that participate in these polls, and putting up every vampire movie or tv show in history would give us more choices than we would have responses.

I also forgot 'Daywalkers', simply because I never got to see it and it didn't leave much of an impression at the box office.

The thing I love with Blade is that the vamps are not nice. Deacon Frost (Blade), Draco (Trinity)and The Reapers (Blade II) proved that

1.)....then what about this one ?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0450405/

2.)Correct me if I`m wrong, but "The Kindred is not very recent show..

If We can vote on "The Kindred" (year 1987),then We can vote on "The Lost Boys
(also 1987),and its recent sequel (The Lost boys:The Tribe, released in 2008)...?

Well like I said, I guess I could put up ever vampire related movie and tv show in history, but since so far, only 3 people have bothered to vote on it, maybe we should just delete the thread and start over. What do you think?

Well I havent seen most of these actually. Underworld and Ultraviolet.  I just like Kate Beckinsale and Mila Jovovich.

I wish I had grabbed a bunch of Snow Angels posters when I went to see that, not a vampire movie, but with Kate Beckinsale, and also Brian Downey.

Some of these shows are pay tv, others, I didnt know about, might check Hulu tonight for The Gates, maybe others.

BTVS and also Angel are my favorite vamp shows, but of course totally clever writing.  The Gary Oldman one is Dracula http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0103874/  I dont think I have seen it.  Winona Ryder is Mayas favorite actress?  Hmmm.

Joss Whedon produced and wrote much of BTVS and Angel, of course Firefly.  He is not well known for writing Alien Resurection, which starred  Winona Ryder  (well second to Sigorney, natch).  I am so waiting for a followup on that movie, where Alien dna combined with Ripley, and Winona the synthetic human, land on Earth.

More trivia....Gary Oldman was used in two at least movies by Luc Besson, "Leon" with Natalie Portman, and "The Fifth Element" with Mila Jovovich.

I really like Winona myself, "Two Heathers" and of course "Beetleguise."  Vampires....its all kind a blur.   "Vlad" was a devine assasin, and the ultimate vampire?  BTW this costume is for sale (a word from our sponsors).

Anyway, I think i voted for Ultraviolet, but I havent seen most the rest.  Twilight was a great idea, done stupid.  It was filmed in my stomping grounds, so I am very critical.  It would be so so easy to get the most amazing scenery, sets, settings, but they are so lazy.  The concept is great, the execution is pathetic.

I like the poll, its just that I havent seen most of these shows.

I'm sure the comment about Wynona being my favorite actress was said sarcastically, since she's not even in my Top 10, hehe.

DFG is cleverly sarcastic to Maya? Cool. So who is your favorite actress? I have so many, but for fun I suggest Stefania Zofia Federkiewicz, aka April Dancer.

Favorite new Vampire show? Well, I had to do a little research to make sure it hadn't been mentioned (and it hasn't), but "Being Human" is a pretty cool little show. It's about a Vampire and a Werewolf that decide to rent an apartment and try to live normal lives. And the apartment just happens to be haunted by a Ghost that loves to make tea. Russell Tovey, who some may remember from the Doctor Who episode "Voyage of the Damned" plays George the Werewolf. Aidan Turner, who I like simply because my Grandson shares his first name, plays Mitchell the Vampire. And Lenora Chrichlow, who is just cute as a bug, plays Annie the Ghost. Sinead Keenan, who was in the last couple of David Tennant Doctor Who specials as a green alien, is in the show also as Nina, George's ex - who he infected with Werewolism. This is an ensemble/buddy show, and it's really well done.

This show is one of the few Vampire shows lately that's managed to keep me watching past 3 episodes. There are two seasons out, and from what I understand, season 3 is just starting production. It's a BBC production, the first season was on BBCAmerica a while back, and you can find it on You-Tube. Dunno about Hulu, Joost, or any others tho'.

As far as films - the last good one I saw was " Day Watchers". It's old - made in 2006, it's long - 139 minutes, and it's Russian - which pretty much makes the plot incomprehensible to a Western viewer unless you pay close attention. But it's an extremely entertaining flick - the segment where two agents swap bodies for an investigation is hilarious. And the action segments are done just as well as any Hollywood production.

Yes I was been sarcastic, as I know you don't like her.  I'm not too keen on her either.
