If your favorite Lexx actor could guest star in any current series....
Which actor would you chose, and what show would it be?
True Blood? Smallville? Burn Notice? Dexter? You chose!
But do not chose Glee. Anything but Glee. You've been warned. *glowers*

I'm Not much for current TV Shows but...I would love to see a male celebrity version of RuPaul's DragU With Michael, Brian and Nigel competing to see who will be "the Baddest bitch in school." Unfortunately that won't happen so my second choice would be Michael or Nigel on Falling Skies

Would love to see Michael McManus on Doctor Who, my other favourite show.
Or maybe... Xenia Seeberg reprising The Xev Show on daytime German TV, surrounded by more hunky shirtless men.

How about an episode of Deadliest Warrior featuring our favorite Divine Assassin vs a Borg?

I could imagine them all on "Pushing Daisies" (Hope the series has the same title than over here)

Because I don't currently own a TV, I don't have knowledge of many contemporary shows, but Pushing Daisies looks like fun.
I was inspired by its name to think of a show I used to like called "Dead Like Me." Though based on a semi-religious premise of life-after-death, DLM had some great human interest - and I could well imagine Kai making a guest appearance as its airing was contemporaneous with Lexx.

Talking of TV...hm
Michael McManus might be nicely placed (in my imagination) in two shows: Criminal Minds (where he might create the most vicious and smart Mind) and Perception(I like it, but I believe there are many flaws there, one of which is a certain lack of high quality bad guys).
Dieter Laser- Supernatural, for sure.
Brian Downey- Eurika (playing a chaming, mad scientist, whose experiments always end up with Armageddon, but whose magnetic personality saves the situation)
Tim Curry- Defience (as a guy who plays stupid jokes and no one takes him serious - at the end he turns out to be the main puppeeteer.
But I'm more a theater person. Theater is a place where I'd love to see them.
Michael McManus -playing Lord Henry "Harry" Wotton or Brick Pollitt.
Dieter Laser in any of the Chechov's or Gorkiy's plays.
Brian Downey-playing Argan in Le malade imaginaire.
Tim Curry- The Marriage of Figaro.
Maybe I'm doing something wrong by bringing up old themes. If so, I beg Ur pardon. It took me more than 10 years to get ready to share my thoughts about the Lexx with others and I lost almost two years of Ur company (two years ago was the last time I wanted to regester here but again decided to postpone it).

For what it's worth coming from a lowly "heretic" such as myself, Nell, and with as much emphasis as Kai answered Wist's question "would you deny me a future," I say "Oh no!"
Lexx is now an old show, but our relation both to it and to each other as fellow humans remains fresh; constantly renewed with every additional insight.
I very much look forward to hearing more from you and also sharing more thoughts of my own in the future.

Be_You_
thank U.
oh, and one more thing that came to my mind while watching a movie now: Michael McManus has already reached the age to play in Lolita (Nabokov). It is difficult to beat Jeremy Irons. But no one says about competition. A good thing in different versions is that they offer diverse views on the same topic. And talkinf of it, Leonid Andreev's plays are just for him, as a person who is not afraid of revealing deep, provocative truth of a mankind's nature.
(if someone is interesred (though, almost all of his works are extremly difficult and even painful to read)http://onlinebooks.library.upenn.edu/webbin/book/lookupname?key=Andreyev%2C%20Leonid%2C%201871-1919)
Well, what can I say. We've just finished a project - classic plays in the open air and my head still works hard in this direction. Last edited on Sat Jun 8th, 2013 11:28 pm by Nell
